Highest Resolution digital camera

The world's highest resolution camera is Megacam, with a resolution of 320 million pixels.
It is an astronomical camera used on the 3.6-m{11-ft 9.6-in}Canada-France-Hawaii telescope in the summit of Mauna Kea,Hawaii,USA.The camera was integrated  with  the telescope on 28 June 2002.

Most detailed human dissection.
The  visible Human project is led by Dr.Victor Spitzer [USA] of the university of Colorado.
The aim of the project is to create a virtual anatomy 'text book' Ultimately this digitized virtual body will be part of a medical  simulator on which doctors and medical students will learn surgical techniques, in the manner  of a pilot learning to fly by using an aeroplane simulator.
To create these virtual humans, Dr spitzer and his had team had to perform the most detailed human dissection.
The "visible man" is a real cadaver that was sliced into 1878 sections.
The thickness of each cut was 1mm(1000 microns).
The "visible woman" cadaver  was sliced into 5189 slices, 0.33mm thick.
Each layer of cadaver was photographed with a digital camera and stored  in a computer.
Eventually the recreation of the sliced images will form a minutely detailed 3-d virtual human body.
